Not Living Up to the Hype
It was supposed to be the game of the year in the league but it turned into a typical New Haven rout. The Chargers scored on their first four drives and completely shut down AIC in their 37-6 victory last Saturday.
New Haven finishes the regular season undefeated in the NE-10 at 8-0 and will host the first ever league championship game this weekend. They will face the same AIC team that they just handily defeated, who fell to 7-1 in the league.
Here are the game stories from around the NE-10:
New Haven beats AIC:
Bentley beats Southern Connecticut:
Stonehill beats Pace:
Here are the comments from the NE-10 coaches yesterday:
Bentley head coach Thom Boerman:
Two undefeated teams will meet in the final weekend of the season. Can you ask for a better match-up? Plus some home field advantage will be earned this week for the championship weekend.
Week 10 Capsules
Stonehill (4-4, 4-3 NE-10) at Pace (0-8, 0-7 NE-10)
When: November 3rd, 12:00 PM
All-Time Series: Pace leads the series, 9-8-0
My thoughts: This match-up has been pretty close over the years.
The second rankings are out and the same 10 teams made it again. But there was some shuffling due to the results of the weekend. Here is a breakdown of the 10 teams in Super Region One:
1. Shippensburg 9-0, 9-0 Last Week: 1
With their win over Bloomsburg last Saturday, Shippensburg is clearly the top team in the region right now. They have clinched a spot in the PSAC championship game and appear to be very close to securing a spot in the playoffs.
